They are trying so hard to be positive to get people to vote for an amendment that says NO to marriage for a large segment of society...
Anyway, 4 years ago it was my first time voting and I got this awesome little packet that explained each proposition in plain english and listed the sorts of people who might be for and against it and why. I got it at the Paper Heart and I have no clue who made it, but I wish I could find one again.

matt directed me here. there is some good info on most of the props here. and yes, the so-called payday loan "reform" is sponsored by the PayDay loan corps.

I found out what that nice booklet with the plain-language explanations of each proposition was! It's from the Arizona Advocacy Network Foundation.
Here it is!
Warning: link is a PDF.

Has anyone seen those billboards with the splashy text that says "Yes! to marriage! Vote yes on 102!"

Have you guys heard the radio spots for this? It's all romantic sounding...a woman telling the listeners about how her husband proposed to her. Oh my heart... then they say: "Marriage...it's a man, a woman, a family. Not for dumb fags"
Ok, i made that last line up, but they may as well have. Lame

OK, so I made that last part up, but that's the gist of it.

the signs for that prop read "Say YES! to Marriage."
anyway, some "vandals" turned the exclamation point into a T and added some other lettering so now they read "Say YES TO HATE!" much more accurate if you ask me.
there's one like a block from our house. i saw on the news that they hit a bunch of them in the valley the exact same way, and it's going to cost the pro 102 groups several thousand dollars to fix them. and you know what? i don't even feel a little bit sorry for them.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

I used to change those "Support Our Troops" yard signs to "Support Our oops" signs when the Iraq war started. I am guessing these are more labor intensive changes than just adding a piece of tape over a letter.
Clever re-imaging is fun tho.

I agree with you guys, people who share different values than us shouldn't even be able to put signs on their property expressing those different values.
They should expect people to come onto their property & vandalize those signs...
What do they think this is, America?
I, myself, don't think think love should be legislated at all. No legal Gay marriage, no legal straight marriage, no tax breaks, period. tax breaks for 'kids in the home', regardless of the sex of the partners.
End of story.
