Yeah weekends wooo yeah. No plans tonight I don't think. Tomorrow... might have some plans, I hope At some point I would like to work on some writing. Last Saturday night I got really wacky and spent the hours of 12am-3am writing/re-writing. That was good, I wanna do it again (maybe not at those hours though.

not really sure about tonight but my dad and i are doing the father's day thing tomorrow morning. mostly i'll just be helping him with some stuff. he's gotta swap out a stove at his place and then wants me to help him with his tv/dvd/satellite/etc configuration. later that day i'm going door to door with some neighbors around our community to notify people about our first neighborhood meeting on 7/9. so that'll be a blast. not sure about later that night but one of my neighbors has a pool so hopefully he'll ask everyone to come swim. not really sure about sunday. maybe go see xmen or something. probably find a project to do around the house as usual.

the last week has actually been two weeks long for me.
I've been super busy moving in w/ Weener since the 30th of May and I am f*cking sick of the hauling and packing and everything else.
I have thrown away so much stuff, so many things I thought I'd need/want forever.
It's amazing how perspective changes. I tossed out art I've made, sketch journals I've kept since grammar school, photos of family.
All the posters I've saved from 10 years of promoting shows ... f*ck it, GONE.

Tons of cloths and books and furniture now at Goodwill (16th & Indian School if you're wondering) along w/ about a 1/5 of my CD collection.
To say nothing of the toys and collectibles I'll be putting on ebay.

It has been as emotionally draining as it has been physically.

This weekend should honestly be the last of it.
Everything is gone, there's just some cleaning left to do.

. . . And then move the cats.
This is the hardest part for a lot of reasons.
I have finally come to accept I will need to give up one of them.
In the past few years more and more of my time has become dedicated to Trunk Space [not to mention my day job], and that coupled w/ the smaller living space has really shown me that I can't properly care for the two I have.
One cat, Rhubarb, has some emotional problems and I'm the only care taker she'll ever really accept, so I can't let her go.

However, I have a younger/spunkier cat who would really benefit from a larger living space and maybe even a family environment.
I'm not a dad, but I've raised Easter since she her eyes were closed, and won't let her go to just anyone. I'm giving her up to be a good parent, not because I don't want her.
(I don't know exactly when this is going to go down, but if you're a home owner who wants to have a lifelong feline friend, PM me and we can talk about it).
She's fixed, indoor only, and has a good personality.

On the plus side! This SUNDAY is the annual FATHERS' DAY on FATHER'S DAY show!
w/ Juan Mendoza getting ready to take a leave of absence from the band and Frank Brando moving, this will be one of their last remaining wind-down shows--possibly for good?
The Show is the Rainbow is always awesome though, and the other locals are some pretty sweet punk sh*t, so it's not a loser Sunday night like some of them can be.
If you're a dad, or someone who loves or hates a dad, I can't recommend this one enough.
