where the 143 comes off of the 202 and immediately drops to 45mph.. yeah, speed trap city. welp, it got me this morning. cop was a nice enough guy but not so nice as to let me off with a warning. i seriously want to look into how you can petition to get a speed limit changed for a stretch of road.

that area is under construction. it's normally 65.

i'm pretty sure it's usually 55 with the 45 now due to the construction but they've got new 45mph signage up that almost looks permanent. i'm not sure if that new overpass hardware is going to permanently limit the number of southbound lanes or not. what sucks is i was going the exact same speed when i passed him yesterday and nothing. i drive that stretch of road every morning and i've never seen a single accident on it. i'm pretty sure it can get away without the extra "supervision" from highway patrol.

and.. there were a couple of motorcycle cops on the elliot overpass. looks like it's the end of the month...

I will be riding my bike around downtown and looking at comiconnies, checking out the Icehouse, maybe to the firehouse later for RPM orchestra,
and some beers and drinks along the way.

this week we've got family stuff pretty much every day. hanging with a cousin in town from houston tonight. then my gf has got my cousin's baby shower to go to and then another cousin's kid's bday party on sunday. not sure what i'm going to mix into the downtime but i'd like to check out hangover 2 and work on some side biz stuff.

or 13 Assasins, which is still playing at Filmbar.

None of these are movies I could convince my gal to see tonight, and she's not off work til late.

OH YEAH.. apparently its national donut day! krispy kreme is giving them away. not sure if there are rules. like one per customer or only until noon or anything but that's still pretty cool.

a guy held the door open for me this morning and his reply to my thank you for his gesture was "sure, no charge."

whole lotta yard/house stuff. oh, and attending a meet and greet with phoenix mayoral candidate on saturday morning at our local weekend breakfast spot: jerry's restaurant on thomas just west of 24th st. working on some indieweb.co biz stuff as well. good times. sorta.

at some point i have to schedule my driving school class for the speeding ticket i got a bit ago.
