our work party was cool. saw george thorogood and zz top. and rode a ferris wheel. had pretty good crab cakes. got some free booze. but didn't win any money.

went to the yucca afterward tho to see the liars handshake set and had a fucking blast. so that helped.

well you deal with pay-related shit, right? i'm guessing this time of year is a nightmare. my girlfriend works in the financial industry and this is the absolute worst time of year. she's been working 11 to 12 hour days and will be until new years eve. doh.

Yeah I'm the payroll manager. I had no idea what I was getting into when I took this job. Most people don't understand their pay all that well or how to manage benefit time (vacation, sick and such) for their employees they supervise. Mostly I'm just really tired of fixing everyone's mistakes all the time.

if I had a foam mallet and could hit someone upside the head at work and not get in trouble I SO WOULD!

i'd say if you weren't moving out of state you should hit up where my gf works. probably a lot less irritating. (despite me bagging on this time of year that is. ha)
