Here's a story to lighten the mood:
Today I rode my bike from downtown Phoenix to Tempe. I went to the place that I shower, only to find it closed for the day (which they did have a sign on the door for days, I'm just dumb I guess). I stood there, sweaty as hell, wondering what to do. I had a change of clothes but no deodorant or anything. I had to go to CVS to buy deodorant, antiseptic wipes, and gum and took a hobo shower in one of the bathrooms in my office.

I just hope that I will not be henceforth known as "the stinky guy".

just kidding. i work from home so i'm greener than all you people anyway. but sometimes i DO go into the office and it's right after a physical therapy appointment or something, and i don't even try to cover up the fact that i'm all sweaty. i just show up in my workout clothes. my logic is as follows: if i'm dressed all nice and i stink, then something's up. if i'm dressed like i just worked out and i stink, then people are like "ah, well of course - he's all sweaty and dressed like he just got done working out." almost like you got called in during the middle of something else you were doing and work is so important that you came as you were. in other words, don't hide it. flaunt it.

i still don't understand why you had to buy gum, though.

I wake up, put some biking clothes on, and leave. Showering, putting on office attire, and brushing teeth is done when I get there. It's a wonderful new experiment called "getting some exercise".
