I am very excited for this show that i am in at the Mesa Contemporary Arts Center! I walked into the gallery today and it's the real deal. A museum gallery! There were over 340 submissions and they only accepted 48 artists! I'm totally bragging because as of late i'd been submitting my work to lots of places and getting lots of rejections which was bumming me out. This couldn't have come about at a better time for me.

I keep thinking about the moment i walked into the gallery space with my sister this morning and we both smiled at each other. I will keep coming back to that moment for a while. I hope i never forget it.

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

Currently thinking how awesome this website is: http://www.bradhallart.com/phoenix.htm.

It's got a bunch of old maps and photos of Phoenix from long ago. Pretty fun (for map nerds anyway)! He also has a bunch of Valley National Bank stuff he rescued too (from when Bank One bought them out)
