think the nickel arcade was on Val Vista/Broadway? that place RULED....Yeah, Alma School and 8th Ave. I lived right by it. There was a nickel arcade nearby, too.there was a Showbizz near Almaschool and Broadway that eventually became Chucky Cheez....
The one I'm thinking of was on Alma School and Southern, northwest corner. It's where I honed my Street Fighter II skills in high school, and beat TMNT arcade and Smash TV. Atomic Comics used to be in the same plaza. The whole mini-mall there is pretty much abandoned now.
Damn I'm old.
i went there a bunch of times, too... 94-95ish, maybe? That shit was sweet.
i ran that Galaga machine.

-trunkspaceAll the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

Commander Tom's World
worst ventriloquist ever.
Still, that hair and the sexy nazi-esque inspired military uniform sure did make fashism seem attractive to the kiddies, so he couldn't be all bad . . .

I grew up in New Mexico, I don't think we had our own kid show out there so we borrowed from other places.
I remember Bozo being on too, but clowns kinda freaked me out back then.
