the 101 and 51 can get you anywhere from north Phoenix, its just strip mall waste land and white trash country bars/bro "I never moved out of my parents house" dudes, but I suppose that is everywhere, the shopping plaza on 7th and Bell has a sunflower market and a target and all that crap. I lived in that area most of my life, so maybe that is why I am sick of it. The house I moved out of was on 7th ave and Union Hills and the owners paid $250 for it!

I want the spice of life that is Sunnyslope, my baby needs to learn Spanish anyway.

So I just moved from your ideal into your headache...uuuhhhmmmm.

At least North Phoenix isn't Laveen or Buckeye or Surprise.

Goodluck, it took me 6 months to find something close to what I wanted, and this shit seems to be heating up.

6 months!! holy shit! Wow, we have only been looking 6 weeks and I thought that was long. That actually makes me feel a lot better, and a little less panicky. Trust me, I would LOVE to move out of this cul de sac, but stay in this neighborhood. We really like it here a lot. We love the mountain, we love the area (we love Stumpy's Pizza), etc. But, the houses that have the sqr ft we need, with garage (not to mention a pool) are out of our price range in this neighborhood. We have lived here for almost three years and hate to leave. We checked out a place on Echo lane and like 13th or so, but the layout inside was a mess.

BTW, have you had Stumpy's?

Some of these prices, I have to think, are owners heartbroken about what houses used to be going for in this, one of the fastest-becoming-popular ZIP codes in the Valley for pre-owned homes, and refusing advice to set the asking price down where it should be. But you know what sellers have actually been getting, so perhaps I'm mistaken. Anyhow, have fun and good luck!

Love like you don't need the money, dance like you've never been hurt, and work like nobody's watching.

yea stumpys is good, I just had it a couple weeks ago, 13th and Echo is sweet, right before it gets over that hill into that valley by 16th st.

I was looking more south of sunnyslope, like 7th St and glendale/Bethany and there was alot of cool stuff, but either too much $$$ or too much work to do inside. But Unlimited Coffee, trail Head Bike Cafe, etc all all cool things I have a feeling I will like around this area.

Where do you grocery shop at around here? That Frys on Cave Creek? I lived on 7th and Peoria and was less then pleased with that Frys 4 years ago.

I live four small blocks East of 24th street, south of baseline. 8202 S 26th Street. I like my nieghborhood and go hiking a bunch in South Mtn looking for petroglyphs. There is a house in there with around 1,400 square feet for, I believe $120,000.

You've been to our place right? We're starting the process of moving right now, haven't listed anything yet, we're waiting for a few foreclosures in our neighborhood that are under contract right now to close, like the house next door, under contract 12 days after it was put on the market. Maybe you could buy our house. 1425 sq feet. New appliances. Painted almost the whole place in 2006/2007.
