About fucking time we talked about this. I live and breathe the goddamn Wu Tang Clan, but fuck...hip hop was the new punk rock.

that new Jay Z song, Death of the Auto Tune---shit is hot, he blows up bling and fancy champagne and talks shit about being the hardest dude in the room, and how that is pathetic because he is a 40 year old multi millionaire.

But Yeah
Native Tongues ie: Jungle Brothers, Tribe Called Quest, De La Soul
The Roots
The Wu
Nas
Hieroglyphics ie: Del, Souls of Mischief, Casual

Fuck man the list is 1000's long (and fuck it, lets add Filth, they would rap if they weren't white an dcrusty and what not)

Emperors of Japan
Myspace

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

At work we sometimes listen to Gnarls Barkley, N.E.R.D and the Gym Class Heroes. I like that OK. I'm also fond of Molotov, not sure if they are really considered hip hop; they are sort of their own weird thing.

I like otter pops. I play bass in Eris Valley. I don't care for work too much also.

I went through a slight rap phase .... listened Wu-Tang and others, but I realized I really didn't listen much to the words. I was more into the production and little melody hooks. RZA does some good work. Otherwise it didn't hold my interest much. To each his own I guess.

I met Naughty by Nature once, they were cool. haha.
