There's a place right by my work called Oliveo Grill, it's right by the Rural Road light rail station. Soooooo good. I get a pita gyro with a greek salad and an iced tea for $8.00 even.

But I started to think about it, and I don't recall ever going to a greek restaurant and being disappointed. What are your favorites?

Sabas Mediterranean at Tatum and Bell, more Isreali then Greek, but its a hybrid and it is seriously off the hook.

Greektown on 7th St and Dunlap...gross....Greek Patio 7th st and Greenway...gross.

But fave greek dishes

Dolmas
Falaafel (is that greek?)
Rolled Hummus
Lentel Soup

Fattoush on 19th Ave. on the West side, between Indian School and Camelback--its got one of those AZ Health Food Stores next to it.
The current owners/employees are kinda lame, but the food is always good.

Baiz Market on 20th Street between Roosevelt & Van Buren.
Usually great food, the hummus is good. Sometimes hot items tast a little reheated or . . . something, a cold oil flavor . . .

No atmosphere, its kinda like eating in a 1/2 finished Circle K.
Recommend to go.
BUT, also check out there section of sweets at the back!

Its a store too, so pick up a jar of spicey pickles, a hooka, and some orange crush on your way out.

I must be eating at the wrong greek places, cause it always tastes bland to me. Love Sabas though.

Jay's Gyros on 48th & Broadway. Right next to the Shell station.

Or, there Nero's Gyros on 48th & Elliot. They're from Wisconsin; a well-known Greek enclave....?
