I love ya Micah, you guys do a great job at promoting ALL kinds of underground events.

as far as some killer local metal that is not of the current "shotgun hair metalcore tough kids that aint that tough" variety, my current faves...

BLACK HELL-
Started out definately on the stoner doom tip but as of late have started experimenting with some real psychedelic stuff on their recordings yet come across with an early thrash / NWOBHM sound live. Highly recommended.

SLUT SISTER-
Dubbed as "baby CrowBar" by our local heavy hitter Danny North Side.

LANDMINE MARATHON-
Carcass / Bolt Thrower worship but with BRUTAL female vocals.

REVEREND DOOM-
The name sorta gives them away, doom laden, sloppy, shows usually end up in a trainwreck, but always fun.

PELVIC MEATLOAF-
These guys are solid musicians and have dabbled with everything from industrial to hardcore but ultimately they just play some pretty crushing metal riffs with glass and whiskey infused vocals.

CAGEMATCH-
For a 3 piece these boys can come correct. Though not traditional metal they are also not really hardcore, they walk somewhere between the two before the correct marketing terms were invented.

HELL RANCHO-
Desert scorched sparse & pounding. Nebula with balls and day jobs.

All of the above bands have myspace pages and play pretty often around town. We do "metal" shows at my bar but they are not traditional in any way shape or form for the most part.
