I'm sooo excited for SHIZZFEST!

I like to eat. I particularly enjoy Indian food and Thai food, but since I can get those anywhere in San Diego, maybe I should try something new while I'm in Phoenix.

I'll be staying at Jackie O's house, and I'll be there from Friday night till Sunday morning.

Discuss!

so many options....

Do you have any requirements?

Do you like spicy, vegan, etc...

I love spicy food, Los Dos Molinos is on the top of my list for Mexican food

After a night of heavy drinking, it's standard to go to Filibertos for greasy mexican food.

hmmm
Carly's bistro has some good sandwhiches off of 3rd st and Roosevelt

LongWongs has some amazing hotwings on 27th st and thomas

Harveys Wineburger is a good bar/hamburger joint, I have only been there once, but I really dug the burger I had there.

I have no requirements! Sparky is vegetarian, so he might appreciate suggestions for that, but he usually manages either way.

What do you usually eat at a Mexican food place? If Los Dos Molinos has good burritos I might have to try that.

I definitely won't be drinking heavily. I usually can't bring myself to pay for a sandwich. I like top-quality hamburgers, so Harvey's might work.

if you come to phoenix and don't eat mexican food you're an asshole. it's as simple as that. ;)

los dos is great. potentially long wait. america's taco shop is also good, as is carolinas. both are near downtown. i haven't been to jacki's since i got caught stalking her and her sister in the bushes on the side of their house, but from what i remember they're pretty close to both places.

yeah, i hopped in the wayback machine for that reference.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

i second all the places mentioned and my house is super close to the light rail (that's how Tony was able to get away so fast) so you can hop on and get to a lot of places quickly and cheaply.

i just saw a Polibertos recently. A new edition to the bertos genre!

and we'll def hit up Mexican food because AZ Mexican is dif than Cali Mexican.

I'm not huge on Thai food because it is generally too spicy for me, but the Gourmet House of Hong Kong, which is right across the street from my home, has a really good small Thai menu along with superb Chinese food. I usually get the Pad Thai with tofu.
