when I say bbq, I mean cookout.
Im stoked on the cook out because food soaks up booze and kinda keeps you from falling over.

i've discussed this with JRC and he's got one of his chef buddies, mario, to provide food services at shizzfest. i'm not sure if it will be a full on roach coach, but he's a legitimate food vendor so you'll be fed! in addition, the pizza joint next to the boxing gym has just opened up again, and this time its w/ real owners! from what we've heard the food is above average.
so a secret cookout shouldn't be necessary, unless you're just really unhappy with what mario puts together.
also, mikey, i said bbq but i meant cookout. shame on me. in the future, if i say bbq, i will be referring to slow smoked baby back ribs or brisket.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

i actually thought about inviting our touring bands over for a "welcome to phoenix" bbq, but the only day that it made sense to do it was saturday, and we'll be busy running a little show called shizzfest that day. so i never really pursued the idea. sorry.

Ew 6:30. We'll see. But I'm totally down to meet LA shizzies for lunch. So if anyone is interested in getting up early as shit, at this point the Los Angeles crew is leaving Norwalk at 12:00am on Saturday and planning on hitting up Over Easy at opening (6:30am). Sleep is overrated! Come eat with us!
