Once again, this friday I will have a video installation set up at Heritage Park for the First Fridays Artwalk. Come on down and say hi! I am showing old and new videos in the installation.

Here’s the write-up:

Heritage and Science Park is a historically preserved city park that encompasses an eclectic appeal of attractions including the Science Center, Pizzeria Bianco, the Rose and Crown English Pub, and the Teeter Tea House. Its beautiful arrangement also attracts events such as weddings, culture festivals, and antique car shows. The park can also be accessed through Artlink’s free shuttle service on First Fridays. Boarding/parking stations include the Phoenix Art Museum at Central and McDowell, and Heritage and Science Park at 7th St. and Monroe.

The Heritage Square art walk is launching to give the downtown Phoenix art scene another type of representation. It will feature local artists of all media types in a historical and pleasant atmosphere. This is a juried outdoor exhibit of emerging local artists. There will be no vendor/commercial sales allowed.

With the valley being one of the top 10 places to buy art in the nation, it is natural to expand our local art scene. Come check out the grand opening Friday September 4, 2009. Have great food and drink at the Rose and Crown Pub or eat some gourmet pizza at Pizzeria Bianco and enjoy everything that downtown is becoming.

This month features:
Artists on hand to talk to people about their work.

INSIDE CREATIVE MINDS television. ICM is a tv show created and hosted by Tray Goodman. It is an interview session with creative and diverse people in the valley.

Also, the VLAA Volunteer Legal Assistance for Artists will be hosting a booth to answer questions and inform on the subject of artists and business. The organization is spawned out of the ASU College of Law, and created for the local artists of our community.

LIVE MUSIC by One Night Stand will keep the party going till 10 with authentic Beatles covers from ladies who know the context of the music.

I went to the demolition derby at the fair last night!

My friend I went to see lost in a big way, but it was still kind of awesome. And he says he'll have his car fixed up to drive again tonight!!!

Yeah! That's the guy I went to see. How did you know about the Devo car?

Yeah, that guy told us (pingo, zang, and myself) about it when we visited his secret laboratory.

Well, he didn't get into the top 5 last night either. Hopefully he can still fix up the Devo car and drive it everywhere.
