I've never actually heard GEHENNA (I know, ugh,...sorry) but I have heard the name (and I do love me some power violence). So when I saw this post I went to the google machine and all that came up was these guys from Norway. And myspace has nothing.

Who did their record? Did they do any split eps?

well...they arent powerviolence, but that distinction probably doesnt even matter to most people. its more of just straight up gruff fast low (but not total growl/cookie monster)vocal HC. they used to have a myspace under THE INFAMOUS GEHENNA, but i cant check myspace right now at work to see.

they were around before i was really buying records, so ive only ever owned the final 12", which i think was self released? i dont know. im sure matt martinez or the chalupacabra can give you a much more detailed list of stuff.

maybe search for "gehenna seven crowns"?

edit: heres this myspace

They have some recordings on both CrimeThINC & A-389, not exactly easy to find. Though I believe A-389 Recs has some stuff on their actual website which you can get to through here www.myspace.com/a389recordings

Ehhh its splitting hairs, the stuff people think is emo is not emo to me either. I never get that worked up, a good band is a good band.

To split hairs even further. Powerviolence to me implies an alternating between fast and slow. crazy fast then slow and plodding. But, you know, that's just me.

well, like you said its splitting hairs. yes they do slow down and speed up, but i would never consider them a powerviolence band. they are still good so in the end it doesnt even matter...
