i usually come up with awesome ideas during the day and right before i fall asleep.

same with me. i sit at work and think of all the things i could be doing / would rather be doing. i find these things hard after work. but right before bed i will pick up my guitar and come up with crazy stuff.

Late at night. For some reason I'll get the urge to record or play music when I should be going to bed. I can work on stuff til 4 in the morning if I don't have to go to work the next day.

Always in the morning for me. Sitting at home with my coffee or as Im driving to work.
I make up songs or sayings and I call people and tell them. So like who wants to be on my call list for my bright ideas in the morning?

Wow, How come cops aren't as considerate with me? I could use constructive criticism with how I look.
