I would have no problem with killing Dave Growl if it meant a zombie nirvana tour.

At the Cagematch EP show at The Manor, I wanted to get on the mic and introduce myself as Martin Shizzmore. I figure that no one really knows me and that maybe they'd think I was really him. I would have talked some shit too like about the 'scene' being pathetic and house shows being anti-productive.

But alas, I had no guts.

That House show was so damn good! Despite the risk of "bitching roommates and landlords" when everything comes together, these shows are the best. All the bands ripped faces at the Manor and the place was so packed my beer turned to a gross warm sweat cocktail.

it's funny because if he was talking about Flagstaff, he's got it right on the nose. People come, people move away (to Portland) and permanent, secure, all ages venues continue to be just out of reach. But in Phoenix, I mean, c'mon, house venues provide all the good things the writer describes, and more, for the thousands (not hundreds) of music fans fanatical enough to pay the information cost of finding out what's shaking.

What's the best way to get people to the newtimes website?
The same thing that got them to it when Martin said downtown is "ovah" Say something to piss off the natives.
