Seriously. I thought that the three years Hot Water Music took between break up and reunion was too soon. Most cases I think bands should stay broken up. *cough*pixies* Others, Jawbreaker, I am glad did the right thing and refused the $$ and protected their legacy. But still some I wish would get back together, Deadguy or Kiss It Goodbye even. What do you think?

NKOTB waited longer than three years and look at them now! 
I loved soundgarden back in the day and was bummed when they broke up but also thought it was the best thing they could have done ending it while on top, but I think I would be pretty pissed off if they got back together again.
It's like quiting a job, if I ever came back to a previous employer to work for them again, it just wouldn't be the same.

On the flip side, there are a couple bands that I am very glad reunited: Slint and My Bloody Valentine.
Both because most of their fame was posthumous, so they might as well tour a little and make some money off of being the legends they've become.
EDIT: And because I got to see them
Oh yeah, I saw Big Black play a 20 minute set in 2006, too. Best thing ever.

Hot water Music thing was kinda odd, but they came back as a jukebox (not writting new songs, only playing select dates) or maybe they came back as a county fair band, either way, as long as they don't record another The New Whats Next i am fine
