I am currently in beard mode, not planning on trimming it till halloween.

what started my extended growth beard phase was last year's halloween costume:



prior to that, i had always kept it fairly trimmed.

i had to buy that shirt from the urban outfitters website (same one from the movie*). they now send me their catalog. i swear it's like soft kiddie porn in print. my gf is definitely not a fan of it showing up in the mailbox. ha.

*yes, that's a real pager.
*yes, the satchel i had bought at the dollar store was filled with little packs of skittles and a bottle of jagermeister.
*yes, i had a thing of tic tacs with "rapies" written on it
*yes, my hand was bandaged and had fake blood on it
*yes, those are white jeans (not easy to find!)
*yes, those are the same blu blockers worn in the movie. also had to order online.

*i take halloween very seriously. lol

although i still don't know what i'm doing for this year. :-(

i'm currently in talks with the esteemed kody thames to procure his new locale. he's got a pretty cool backyard that i think would be perfect. i'm all for throwing them together and hosting or doing whatever but with the new place, we're going for something a little different than when i lived at "hotel jeremx on diamond" with a ton of people in and out. it'll be up to kody if he wants to have people able to go inside other than to use the restroom. i wouldn't blame him if he didn't. but i'll send something out as soon as i know the whens/hows/wheres.

once our backyard is set up the way we want it'll be great for entertaining but not on the level that i was doing it at before. we'll have chickens, bees, a garden, an orchard, and who-knows-what-else so we can't have a huge debaucherous soiree.

Okay, I think what I might do is see what night we've got open, or a light fun show, and maybe we can kill 2 birds w/ a single arrow.

the sad part is, we missed National Red Comics In Public Day a couple weeks ago.
(yes, it's a real day)

I don't think I got to read comics in public on that day, but I do it all the time anyways. Every Wednesday after picking up new comics I stop at an awesome burrito joint in town sit down to read comics and eat a big ass burrito. A few weeks ago a friend and I went to a really upscale beer/wine bar and drank $10 beer and read comics while people sat around and had upscale conversations.
