There was a series of YA novels from the mid 1980s, and each one included some programs to try out at home (complete w/ diff instructions for your Apple, Comodor, TI, ect . . .)

Can't believe that Beef (or Brad Singer) was banned from The Shizz for whatever petty comments were contained in this thread. I'd go so far as to say that (by my observation) people have said worse things here on The Shizz.

he wasn't banned (at least i don't think he was). after a couple of complaints we directed him to the posting guidelines, and basically asked him not to troll/antagonize. and he said he didn't really like the board anyway, so he didn't intend to continue posting here.
i agree with you - way worse things have been said on the shizz. sometimes people say things in the heat of the moment or they overstep the bounds of familiarity and come off as offensive (myself included), and i think when that happens the board is pretty lenient. but it's not a free for all like craigslist or the comments on azcentral - and that's by design.
