it always comes back on me when I know this crappy crappiness. If I don't say anything, when the person finds out I knew and didn't say something, I'm hated and if I do say something, I'm hated. So from now on - I know absolutely nothing about this kind of bullshit. I'm a monkey. Posted Image

I believe in cheating situations if they don't find you never tell, holding your peace and guilt is your punishment. Everyone makes mistakes but why torture the person you're with by telling them you've been unfaithful?

Torture? For who? The cheater?

For me, the cheater is living a lie as soon as they are unfaithful. Keeping the significant other (s.o.)
in the dark is just prolonging the inevitable: the fact that the relationship is over.
There is no looking back. Yes it may hurt to leave them but shit, why invest in someone
emotionally when they have already misused your trust? Chances are, no matter how sorry
they are, or how much they love you, a cheater will cheat again. It's this type of thinking that keeps
me faithful and loyal to my lover; the fact that I know it's over if either of us cheated. Sure you look at
attractive people every day and think "hmm?", but thinking that and staying faithful, and actually
going through with it are two different things altogether.

Some may even say that a cheater cheats to not have to break up with someone. Sort of a win/win
for the emotionally challenged: they cheat, relationship over, more lovers; or they cheat, relationship
unaffected by reason of acceptance or obliviousness, more lovers.

The latter is the saddest because the s.o. who doesn't know is living a lie and are in the dark about it.
The former at least there is a conscious decision to not aknowledge the cheating, or to be on board
with it (could actually make a relationship stronger if an understanding is reached).

I'm saying that if I cheated on someone I would only tell that person if I really wanted to make that person feel like shit and hurt them. If it were a mistake, like a one night only thing, I would keep it with me to my death.

i was at a party once, at the house of a good friend who was of town at the time. (His live-in g/f was the one having the party.) Well, the bunch of us at the party noticed that the g/f was soon making out with a guy, that we also all knew, in the pool. This was then a secret for a week or so after the guy got home. The only reason the girl ended up telling the guy is because so many people threatened the girl and told her that if she didn't tell him, they would... Total bunk situation.

yeah.. there's almost no way that a "secret" like that doesn't eventually come up. even if you think you covered all your bases (assuming 10 other mutual friends weren't in the vicinity), something will nearly always bring the truth to light to bust your ass. especially now in the digital age.

my feeling was, if you're going to cheat on him because you're unhappy or whatever, do your thing, but don't do it in front of a bunch of people who know him... that's not only disrespectful to your b/f but to all your friends, too. You can guess which of the two got all the friends in the split. What a cunt that chick is.

Excuse my french.
