over the past couple weeks the back-right teeth on the upper-side of my mouth have had a little bit of dull pain when i've bitten into stuff and in general my teeth have felt kind of uncomfortable in my mouth.

10 minutes ago i discovered a new tooth jutting out of my gums in the upper-right back of my mouth.

what the hell?

aren't wisdom teeth supposed to be ultra painful and whatnot? has anyone else dealth with this happening in this manner?

its coming in a bit sideways but its clearly not impacting against my other teeth, so that's nice.

i abhor dentists so i'm riding this thing out for a while. i want to keep this little sucker in my mouth if i can.

i've got a wisdom tooth that grew in fully. the main reason it wasn't an issue though is because i'd had a molar pulled on that same side years before so everything just kind of slid over. as long as it's not causing you any problems then you should be fine.

I've got 4 wisdom teeth that grew in fully.

It's a case to case thing, with varying degrees of pain / incorrect growth.

Basically, most people just get em removed without much thought.

I had mine remoned, and it hurt like hell, but only cuz the holes kept getting filled with food.
Ug.

About the only 2 reasons to get 'em pulled would be pain, and they'd whack around the teeth you already got.
So, as long as you keep that lovely smile of yours, and you can live thru the torment, I say skip the pull.

Otherwise, MEXICO!

I got my bottom ones yanked cuz they were growing in at an angle. My top ones came in fine, just a few years ago and I remember them breaking through the skin. It was uncomfortable for a little while, like you described. It's fine now.

most dentist won't yank them out unless they are causing you problems.

The last 2 dentists I've had have wanted to yank mine for no real reason. I haven't let them. I'd rather keep the many many dollars required for that and spend it on the 3 B's: bourbon, black metal, and comics.

same here.. pretty much every dentist i've ever seen has said, "hey, you're not using those.. it's only a matter of time before they ruin your life. let's just yank'em." i've always said no. i haven't seen any evidence that they're gonna start coming in and terrorizing me. so until i do, i'll let'em hang out.

When my sister got hers pulled a while ago she puked all over my dad's car on the ride home.

I hope this helps.

Had mine removed when i was 19 for no reason. I think "back then" it was standard to remove them. It hurt like hell but I did get some good drugs out of the ordeal. Well, on the plus side if you do remove them it's less teeth to worry about brushing and generally maintaining.

I was so high when I had mine out I hugged all the dental assistants on the way out telling them thanks and see them soon. I also tried to get out of the car and walk home.

Had mine out at 16, supposedly the X-rays said they were going to come in wonky if I didn't get them out. Great IV drugs at the doc's office. He asked me to count backwards from 10 and I got maybe 6 or so before I started laughing and dozed off for a while. I came back and they were breaking apart my teeth in my mouth and I couldn't have card less about it, it was weird.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.
