You don't wanna walk as far as the Jack in the Box, though...

I dunno, I don't feel that way. I think that small area between University and Rio Salado is so pretty. And I am totally enjoying the businesses they are bringing into the open space available in that centerpoint area. I heard the management company was looking to put a small grocery market in there too. That would be awesome. The farmers market is on University and Farmer, however, food staples there are way too expensive for me so I end up having to drive a bit to the closest grocery. It would be awesome to just be able to leisurely ride my bike to one right there.

As usual a bunch of bitching about SoScottsdale. SoScottsdale currently has more small locally owned biz than the entire Tempe area you guys are always falling all over. It just gets so old that you people barely pull your heads outta each others asses long enough to notice what is around you.
yeah, but it fucking sucks there.

yeah, but if you are the guy i think you are, you were too young to see any of 'old mill' how it used to be. im 30 and still only saw the tail end of it when i was like 13. thats when everything started going to shit and becoming mall-ishI've been in Tempe for years and Mill has always been like this. I live only a few blocks away and worked on mill for a few months and have never had any issues with it. Areas like that bring in a lot of money to the city and are pretty easy to avoid.

Man, i remember when Mill used to be the default thing to do on a friday and/or saturday night. It was a sweet place to people watch.

Yeah, fatguyaz and I are about the same age and ran in similar circles. Up until about '94, it really was a pretty cool place to drink coffee, walk up and down the street, window shop, buy one-hitters, and just kinda loiter in general.yeah, but if you are the guy i think you are, you were too young to see any of 'old mill' how it used to be. im 30 and still only saw the tail end of it when i was like 13. thats when everything started going to shit and becoming mall-ishI've been in Tempe for years and Mill has always been like this. Related, some friends and I went to Fat Tuesday last week, after about 5 hours of drinking at Casey's. That place sucks so bad, but GOD DAMN I love me some alcoholic slurpees.
Also related, I still miss Mill Ave Long Wongs to this very day.
