Wow, LinkedIn really is pissing me off. I kept getting invitations from people (now I know why) so I thought I'd check it out, set up an account an see if it was worthwhile.... The first thing they want is to load my email contacts to check if they are on LinkedIn ...the next step is to send an invitation to 100 or so people from my contacts...I thought I only okayed a couple people, Boom, I just sent out 89 invites! Holy fuck, I haven't even set up a profile yet! I haven't even decided that this is a service I am interested in joining...LinkedIn , you need to lay the fuck off. I'm canceling my account just on principle. What a royal waste of time.

i find linkedin to be a very passive social network but i am not a guy who gets all worked up about getting 2 emails per week. it makes it easy to keep up with recruiters at the very least, which was nice when i was without job.

it's like facebook, but for people who don't want people they work with to see all the ridiculous bullshit they put on facebook.
