Hey Weener and I have a place on Palm near the fairgrounds.

We got weeds bad, front and back yard.

Want those pulled, not whacked.
Our place also has no sprinker system and there's two pine trees that are not in good shape, so we need advice on that.

Who do you love?!

I was thinking about this as I was driving through our neighborhood this morning (the weeds are taking over!). Before we had a yard guy we used to use a pest control service that used to come out and spray the yard with a chemical that prevents seeds from sprouting, and therefore prevents weeds from growing in the first place. It cost like $75 and lasted 6 months to a year.

He'll definitely charge more for an initial cleanup, it depends on how much you need done. I paid him I think $150 to come clean up our yard the 1st time, but he had a crew of 4 or 5 guys who worked for several hours and made it spotless. We pay him $65 every two weeks now, and our yard always looks great. It's a luxury for sure, but one we choose to afford because yard work totally sucks and we don't have much of any free time for it.

I know, it's not cheap, but I'm so pressed for time all the time. If I'm posting on the shizz, I'm probably at work. :) Spending several hours in the yard every couple of weeks just isn't in the cards. I did it before I had kids, but they came along and took all the free time I had and then some.

Ha. I totally started using a lawn service this month too. I don't regret it one bit. I am puzzled how our parents made it through that awkward period between having the kid and having them be old enough to mow the damn lawn? Miracles.

Couldnt' afford the pro lawn care team, but got a decent one off for about 150.

The yard is in good shape now, but I really need some solid advice how to water the two pine trees.
Who has Pines? How much to do water them in Summer?
