And before you ask.
Yes, I'd rather have an extensive music collection today than a retirement fund tomorrow. That's how I roll.
The Mae-Shi ~ Heartbeeps
After buying another of their albums last week, I am now convinced that I need a complete Mae-Shi discography in my collection.
Madvillain ~ Madvillainy
Maybe the best hip hop record in the last 5 years. I've had a digital copy, and recommended used copies to three different friends on three different occasions. It was high time I got my own copy.
Codeine ~ Frigid Stars LP
Combine slow-core with post-rock. Codeine has always been impressive to me. This album has been out of print for a while, so I'm glad I found it used. Admirable stuff.
Blood Brothers ~ March On Electric Children
Holy fuck. I will own their complete discography, from 31G to major label. I am completely impressed by their sound.
EDIT: I found They Might Be Giants' box set, entitled "Dial A Song", as well. Incredible collection for us nerd fogies.
I picked up the movie "Dig" as well tonight. I think I'm gonna watch it now.
