i thought this was in reference to landmine marathon. it is not. but it is still rad that it's a free download.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

heard some stuff that sounded good, other stuff that was tough guy hardcore, so I hope this record settles it.

he's from Broken Social Scene. It's ok. I just gave it 1 listen and it requires more.....his voice sounds too much like Bob Dylan's though and it throws me off.

i've also been listening to that thorns of life 'live at gilman' bootleg. downloaded it. it's pretty good. is aaron cometbus the 'go to' guy when you want to re-establish your cred? i think his drumming is lacking on this release but otherwise it leans more toward 'dear you' era jawbreaker than jets to brazil. seems like.
maybe.
