don't hate me.
-trunkspaceAll the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

mig you have the worst taste in music ever. there i said it. irony is a fad and its almost gone let it die
don't hate me.
i might not be into everything that mig spins, but brian eno isn't one to be trifled with.
oh, and to keep it topical, i'm currently listening to a local hip hop CD that some guy hustled a co-worker into buying on his lunch break.
the duo is called "grievance and ra", album title "the game needs us". currently i'm on a track called "gangsta", and the lyrics go "gangsta, we gangsta" that's pretty much it. it is not entertaining, ironically or otherwise.

My thesis is called the "Black-Emperor-Says Theory" and holds that any any Phoenix-area indie rock festival there is a 100 percent probability that Emperors of Japan, Black Carl, and/or What Laura Says will be on the bill.

pretty sure that guy approached me in a sporting goods store's parking lot. wished him good luck, told him to save his cd.

seriously chad? fuck yourself. get off your high horse and go fuck yourself.
i do not listen to music ironically. i am not trying to be hilarious or cool when i post 'never' by heart. i genuinely like this song and i have no joke listened to it kind of non-stop for the past few days. the pre-chorus and chorus contain some of the best, catchiest hooks i've ever heard, and don't get me started on how wonderful their voices are.
i do not listen to music ironically. i will gladly give you a detailed explanation of each and every song i have ever played for an audience and tell you why i feel it has merit.
also, if you really meant that i'm listening to eno to be ironic you're a bigger dufus than i ever could have imagined.
nothing riles me up more than someone trying to call out my taste in music by saying i'm just trying to be funny or ironic. i give into a lot of pop music because, shocker, its fucking well-written and enjoyable. i just don't have any hang-ups about giving in and admitting it.
oh, and please do not imply that i'm a fucking hipster unless you really want to get me riled up.

i cannot stop listening to this / watching this video:

HIGH KICKS
Apparently this song hit number 4 in 1985 (according to wiki). I remember the jam, I must've been about 11 yrs old. After reading the exchange between Chad and Mig, I tried to watch the video to see if I could absorb some of it's redeeming qualities. I couldn't. It's a terrible song. Sorry Mig. I think anything they did mid-80s on is pretty gross.
However I haven't been able to stop listening to this all week:
