All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

Yeah, I'm severely disappointed with it too...

I really didn't like it much at first, but now I think it is way better than De-Loused.

I'm stuck on two albums that no one seems to know right now, but they really really should!

death to tyrants - experience will be your monument and your love
- instrumental prog-punk in the vein of oxes

red sparowes - at the soundless dawn
- members of cave-in and isis, reminicent of explosions in the sky, but, well, different.

the death to tyrants might be hard to find - i think it's a vinyl only release, but red sparowes is pretty new and a must-have.

oh, and rescue - flamingo minutes. it's a little derivative (the singer sounds like he wants to be in the Mars Volta, while the band wishes they were in Pretty Girls Make Graves), but it's still really really catchy and hook-laden. at least worth a listen. (on slowdance)

Lucero. Can't get enough of it. Seriously bummed that they cancelled their show a few weeks ago.
Strike Anywhere = YES. I go hoarse trying to "sing" along with that stuff. Covers the revolutionary subject matter where Rage left off.
Hot Water Music. The new one has really grown on me, and somehow is now better than Caution.
I haven't heard much Hum, but I do like ...Astronaut. Downward is Heavenward is all right, but just doesn't have the hooks that Astronaut does.

I heard about this dude's project from the shizz' shows board. Found him on myspace and bought some music.

Basically, it's incredible (but chaotic) idm. I've listened to each album twice, and I got them both today.

(Actually, I should bug Sherv about putting these up on his FTP site.)

Oh yeah. The crazy thing. He lives like 5 miles from me.

i had a weird dream about him, that i was in az, and he somehow wound up with my bags luggage and shit, and it was super hella dustry. but yeah, he's great. don maximo rules. he's got a new comp thats really good, you should check that out.
