Reminiscing
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right
How to tell you girl
I wanna build my world around you
Tell you that it's true
I wanna make you understand I'm talkin' about a lifetime plan
That's the way it began, we were hand in hand
Glenn Miller's Band was better than before
We yelled and screamed for more
And the Porter tunes (Night and Day)
Made us dance across the room
It ended all too soon
And on the way back home I promised you'd never be alone
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing
(Instrumental break)
Friday night, it was late, I was walking you home
We got down to the gate and I was dreaming of the night
Would it turn out right
Now as the years roll on
Each time we hear our favorite song
The memories come along
Older times we're missing
Spending the hours reminiscing
Hurry, don't be late, I can hardly wait
I said to myself when we're old
We'll go dancing in the dark
Walking through the park and reminiscing

I never meant to be so bad to you
One thing I said that I would never do
A look from you and I would fall from grace
And it would wipe the smile right from my face
Do you remember when we used to dance
And incidents arose from circumstance
One thing led to another, we were young
And we would scream together songs unsung
It was the heat of the moment
Telling me what my heart meant
The heat of the moment showed in your eyes
And now you find yourself in '82
The disco hot spots hold no charm for you
You can concern yourself with bigger things
You catch a pearl and ride the dragon's wings
It was the heat of the moment
Telling me what my heart meant
The heat of the moment showed in your eyes
And when your looks have gone and you're alone
How many nights you sit beside the phone
What were the things you wanted for yourself
Teenage ambitions you remember well

I've been too busy practicing the right hand mambo...yeah, me. I hear stuff that is ok, but nothing can really hold my attention. I hear stuff and think "I will probably like this later, when i start liking music again".I haven't really listened to music in awhile....I'm in a drought....anyone else ever go through that?
what the left hand does is none of your concern

Seamonsters was the first Wedding Present album I bought, great, great album.if you want some good albini listen to the wedding present's 'seamonsters' or 'bizarro'
will do!p.s. check out les thugs - strike, great albini sound
If you're a PJ Harvey fan, and a Steve Albini fan, check out Shannon Wright. I've been listening to her non-stop all day....and all year, for that matter. She's fantastic. Albini did both Dyed in the Wool, and Over the Sun.

Shannon Wright is amazing! I have two SR posters in our practice space. I first saw her when she came through Nita's supporting Sleater-Kinney. I can't wait until she comes by again. If you're a PJ Harvey fan, and a Steve Albini fan, check out Shannon Wright. I've been listening to her non-stop all day....and all year, for that matter.
