The ticket has to be handed to you in person within 120 days or it is automatically dismissed. If it is mailed, forget about it, and don't answer the door for strangers for a few months.
And if you do pay the ticket, only 50-60% goes to the state, the rest goes to Redflex, the Aussie based company that owns the cameras and vans and is making a fortune on people who see the ticket in the mail and think they have to pay it. So even our speeding is outsourced.
