Band Wagon III THIS SATURDAY @ Modified!

21 April 2009 - 04:22 PM

Opeeo Entertainment and Modified Arts present the third annual Band Wagon Music Festival, a unique benefit show featuring 8 of the best independent local music acts. The event runs 4:30pm-1am on April 25 at Modified Arts (407 E. Roosevelt, Phoenix). A portion of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Phoenix Elementary School District's Music Program.

Bands include: Dry River Yacht Club, Courtney Marie Andrews, So & So, Gospel Claws, Sister Cities, In Symmetry, Towncraft and Underscore Orkestra (on tour). Admission gets each lucky audience member a wristband for an entire day full of fun and entertainment and gives a little something back to the community.  It’s more than your typical downtown Phoenix show.

Carly's Bistro and Lost Leaf (both within walking distance) have partnered to give discounts to those with Band Wagon wristbands on the day of show.

Those who attend may also come and go as they please as long as they've got a wristband — you can come for a couple acts, go get dinner and a drink, then return for a couple more cool performances.

8 bands, 8 dollars, you can't beat that!  Info: bandwagonphoenix.com.

Give A Care is a monthly benefit show that aims to compel the Phoenix community to "give a care" about those around them, their friends and neighbors. A portion of each show's proceeds are donated to a featured local organization or cause, spreading positive contributions among the community one little bit at a time. Nearby food and drink hotspots team up to offer discounts to those who attend the event, enabling everyone involved, from local musicians, to music lovers, to local businesses and passersby a chance to come together and make a difference. A little help goes a long way at Give A Care, and all you need to do is show up and listen to some great music.

Local Participators:
Lost Leaf - $1 off drinks
Carly's Bistro - 15% off food, $2 Stellas
