Sentencing delayed for man who sent Super Bowl threats

A U.S. District Court judge Monday postponed the sentencing of a Tempe man convicted in June of writing letters to media to threaten an attack at this year's Super Bowl XLII in Glendale.

Judge Roslyn Silver said Monday she will not sentence him until Sept. 15 at the earliest, after she reviews the man's pending psychiatric evaluation

I want to thank everyone that sent in character letters for Kurt. The judge said she has read all the character letters about Kurt and feels a psychiatric evaluation is in order before she makes a final sentence. Again thank you.

Are you a friend of Kurt Havelock, known as Nil Failstorm? If so we are looking for his friends to email a character letter to the public defender before Aug 25th. Kurt was found guilty of mailing a threatening letter in the federal mailbox and might get up to 5 years hard time. Unfortunately, no I was not a friend nor have I ever met Kurt. So any letter I write would be useless ~ I'm just a guy behind a computer keyboard looking at the net. Good luck on your efforts, sounds like Kurt needs counseling.

Yes, I've already written a letter. If only because I did meet Kurt for an evening in trying to book a touring band and we had set up a meeting at his venue. If so we are looking for his friends to email the public defender at Jeffery_Williams@FD.ORG Kurt is going to be sentenced on August 25th to up to 5 years in prison for mailing a threatening letter in the federal mailbox. We need his friends from the SHIZZ to step forward and take 10 minutes to email to the judge thru the public defender a short letter stating you feel Kurt deserves a second chance with counseling and probation not hard prison. please help. thanks his mother

Kurt has been on this sight for years and needs people to email the public defender to handcarry over your character letter to the judge before August 25th. We need his friends to ask for leniency with counseling and probation not more jail time.
