the school in the movie (san dimas) is actually the school i teach at, and it was torn down a few years ago and they built a new one, but they saved the giant mural on the auditorium which can be seen at the end when they drive up onto campus and run in to give their last presentation.
I go to that school sometimes and creepily sell smoothies to students on Friday nights.

#818161 Blogs are like the new zines

I understand the practicality of everything being online, but how can you say that a digital copy is better than the original? Tangible items like zines and records so neat is that they aren't absorbed by the interwebz and exist in true form on the other side of my computer screen. And it can be appreciated a lot more, or at least that's what I think.

convince a band to let you carry their gear in or bumrush the door when the bands start. It's not that hard if you really try...
Why is this even a cool thing to suggest (it seems to be rampant on other threads as of late too, ones that you seem to start). Ultimately you are telling people to rob from a DIY space & a DIY promoter for their own ends instead of doing the correct thing and supporting the artists and the art space. Not everything can be a living room show and tour vans dont run on rainbows and dreams. And to undermine any ones hard work for your shtick if thats what this is is pretty selfish.
Didn't you read the band descriptions? They're punks!!!!
