Man, you just made my day! When I first moved in with my eventual wife, we did the merging of music collections. Unfortunately, there we quite a few albums of hers that I had to put my foot down and say no way to. These included a Counting Crows album, as well as the entire Indigo Girls catalogue. There's no way I was putting those out where people could see them, so we put all of those in a box and put them underneath our bed. This is the "Box of Shame". Everyone should have one.
I am in fact merging my music collection with my soon-to-be wife this weekend. This consists of scanning the CDs in as mp3s and then filing the CDs with the rest of my collection.
"Box of shame"... That's awesome.

Thanks for reminding me. I think there's an Amy Grant CD or two in there.Everyone should have a "Nostalgia" bin of CDs or MP3s...this way, I can claim fond "memories" for Amy Grant and Technotronic and secretly revel in their melodies!

I worked there for about a year, and got into some really awesome christian music, like Amy Grant, DC Talk, Michael W. Smith, Petra, Stryper.
When I lived there I wasn't allowed to own any secular music, I remember getting busted listening to ACDC in my room.
They confiscated all my music, it was horrible.

I thought it was just a quote from the bible,
by his stripes we are healed
which when I think about it is pretty freakin sadistic if you ask me.

The Isaiah 53:5 under their logo is the bible verse that states "by His stripes we are healed". The band earned their stripes on the Los Angeles metal club circuit and in 1984, after recruiting bass player Tim Gaines, signed with Enigma Records and released their debut mini-album, The Yellow And Black Attack (Y&BA).
Do they not understand that the "stripes" being referred to are that of Jesus being whipped? They earned their stripes- so my logic says they're overdue for a fucking whipping to me- by the way, they are reunited and have an album coming out this summer. I guess they noticed Creed were fucking hacks too. "Hey, if they can do it, anyone can!"
