I believe the first 45 Singles I bought were:

Terry Jacks - Seasons in the Sun
Elvis Presley - Teddy Bear

First Album:

Beach Boys - Endless Summer

uh when I was like 8 years old. :)

Got a little tired of my Jungle Book 'Bear Necessities' 45. But that rocked too.

I think we have a cool old thread about this.

But anyhow, the 45 of Elton John's "Rocket Man."

Love like you don't need the money, dance like you've never been hurt, and work like nobody's watching.

Wow, the 1st cd I bought (technically a cassette tape) was back when I was like 5 or 6 years old.

Skid Row s/t album!!!

We lived in New Hampshire and my mom was making stage clothes for Sebastian Bach and we went to a record store and my mom let me buy the cassette.

I used to think that the guitar player was cool 'cause he had a chain connecting his nose to his ear!!!!

Boy have I grown up! (but I still rock the tape)

the first 7"s i bought were bad religion atomic garden single
the first tilt 7" (because it was on lookout!)
and fugazi 3songs

i really had no idea they'd be so short. i was just like 2.50! yes! Zia rules!

before that i got tapes. i remember buying a suicidal tendencies tape pretty early on, 5th, 6th grade.

before that my step brother, who's no longer my step brother, dubbed me a tape of slippery when wet by yes, poison and i was playing it really low on my boombox in my room and my step dad, who's no longer my step dad walked by, heard like maybe one dumb cheesy riff, came in, slammed on the eject button, grabbed the tape, ran it under the sink and threw it in the trash. he was a christian, but he would make us listen to this new age music at dinner because he liked it.
