Thanks for all the support of the venues, the bands and the people who came out.
I just woke up about 15 minutes ago and it's sunny outside. WTF!?!?!
Message board?
This is The Shizz.
Chromelodeon manages to get all the furniture from their hotel into the lake a few years back...and people are worried about shizzies?

I got to see Matt Felix, Braeburn, MEATWHISTLE of course, Andrew Jackson Jihad, and the Minibosses. I am so glad the rain didn't ruin things entirely.

I was working the door at The Paper Heart, so I got to see how well organized everything was and the constant communication that was going on, which were definitely good things.
WCT had a great set and Sonorous (who I somehow had never seen) were fantastic.
Novelty and Candice Aragon were all-stars for filling in with a split set for Cross Platform, and kept things moving along.
AJJ kicked ass as usual and The Minibosses whipped things into an amazing frenzy - completely b-a-n-a-n-a-s.
Bodhi Tree hopped up afterwards as an awesome post-BoG treat.
That was just the stuff that I was present for ... I know that there were some sweet performances that went on at all the venues. (I mean, I heard about the Meatwhistle show, five minutes after they wrapped up.)
I, too, was worried that the rain would keep some folks at home, but the turnout was great. I got to talk to some people and it was cool to find out that some people had driven all the way from Cottonwood and Hermosillo, Mexico (!) to be at Bands on Grand. Also, there were even some older folks who had just read about it and, not knowing any of the groups, wanted to check it out.
Plus, most folks were gracious and patient at the door even when things got a little hectic, and I dealt with only a few jerky people who were trying to slide in without a bracelet.
All in all, a great night for music and the local scene!
