ok so i sat down and watched the game, i really i found that i don't like watching basketball. maybe if i can watch from the floor it would be more interesting to me. i just felt like, ok 1st 2nd period i was waiting waiting as i knew the score would be in the 90s or 100's and it just seemed pointless to even have those periods. the only aspects i did enjoy was seeing jack nickolson going nuts and a few of the dunks / drives. it seems to me to be a very cumbersome game with everyone lumbering around trying to force fouls. i will continue to try to watch the rest of this series as i would like the suns to win (they are underdogs if i am correct)but yea.

I can agree with you on some of your points in regards to last night's game. Whomever directed the game did a horrible job, kept switching to all of these ridiculously fucked up camera angles etc. This series will continue to be chocked with silly foul calls (or lack of reasonable foul calls) and lots of trips to the line. I have a general dislike for watching the Lakers play ball. That, paired with watching them WIN vs. the Suns is like a triple-whammy of rage for me. Wednesday's game is going to be a must-win or there is 0 hope for Suns to pull it out. Chad if you caught any of the Suns games when they swept the Spurs, those were probably the most intense/entertaining games of the playoffs. This series isn't going to be pretty. My plans are to continue drinking heavily during these games to the point where I can't do basic math, like last night

I really find myself agreeing with this. I've loved watching basketball since I was a kid, but it just doesn't feel the same to me anymore. The refs are just so fucking bad, it's gotten to be unbearable. Grant Hill flips his hand in disagreement with a bad call and he gets a technical foul? Time after time after time of flops getting rewarded? Phantom fouls being called despite the complete and total absence of physical contact? The refs just insert themselves into every game like they're who we all are tuning in to see. I shouldn't know them by their faces (oh, it's the old, bald dick that hates Tim Duncan, the greasy dick with the slicked back hair that has a short fuse, and the black dude who is actually the one good ref in the league). It's retarded.

Go Suns and all that, but the NBA has gotten progressively lame over the years. Thank God for hockey.

i'm honestly amazed that no one has crushed the nose of one'em yet. i don't know that i'd be able to control my temper if someone kept calling me for shit i wasn't doing and then tacking on a technical if i complained about it. pretty sure i'd lose it.

i can't see that at work but my guess would be that intl game where a dude seriously crushed the face of the ref.. am i right? the one where the guy almost died from the punch and hitting the floor? if not, which was it?
