Well unfortunately the Magic haven't gotten any better and the Lakers haven't gotten any worse. Good luck to you, though.

Personally, I'd be really fuckin' bored with another Magic/Lakers final. I won't be watching...again...

But if the Cavs can get in, that's another story.

Pessimism aside, I like our chances. Watching 80% of the west playoff games (and a good portion of the season), I really couldn't say any team has a better chance than the Suns (at least, since the break). We are, unfortunately, gonna have to rely heavily on running and the three point shot. With Amare sittin' we have nobody in the post. I don't think Frye has it in him and Lopez is pretty green. Lou can be present defensively, but no reason to fear him offensively. We're not tall enough. We can win if we hit our shots, though. The Jazz didn't lose by much, they just couldn't get a good field goal% and they got good looks frequently enough.

apparently phil jackson is 46-0 when he wins the first game of a series. and something like 53-1 when he leads the series. i think i heard that it was back in '03 that we were down 3 games to 1 against them and came back and beat'em. that's what that "1" in the 53-1 record is. hopefully we don't get a chance to find out what his record would be by winning his 47th game 1.

what all that means is i hope to hell we win tonight. ha
