all i know is that this season has been, thus far, significantly better than most of last season. only 6 more episodes!
Maybe not.

But if it's really getting better as you guys are sayin', well, time to get lost.

I never thought of Jacob. That's a good theory.

I think Jack went to John's viewing. John Locke, that is. Though...I don't know. There's so many possibilities. The obvious showing of the lower income area...the obituary, Kate being all whatever about it and Jack said neither friend or family. Hmm.
I never thought of Jacob. That's a good theory.
i originally thought john also, but then i remember the obituary saying something about a new york man, which made me think michael or walt. but then the first letter of the man's name is "j", so that put me on the jacob theory. got to love HD-DVR!
season 2 was a let down, but 3 definately picked back up where 1 left off. so far this season is questionable. there have been some good wtf moments, but it also seems like we are getting involved in some characters that may not play a big role in the end, like the tail section guys of season 2.

No idea at all. What's more, the polar bear's collar specifically had the Hydra logo on it. The Hydra station was the one where Jack, Kate, and Sawyer were kept (in bear cages).
I took it as there was another previous Dharma set-up than the one on the island rather than time travel. If the polar bear was there because it traveled through time and into the middle of a country, I'd be kind of pissed I think.

I think that time traveling polar bears are dumb because I'm no fun.

EDIT: Which reminds me, how did the freighter people get a pic of adult Ben?

i think when matt and i were watching the ep, my thoughts went to time travel because I took the dig site to be very old, like, much older than just a few decades. why would they be excavating a site that might only be from the last century?

That is a good question. Although they did have the sub, so perhaps he left the island and they snapped it then? Maybe to meet his contacts? That seems like the most likely choice since this photo doesn't have the same vibe as the island. Also, he's sort of dressed up in that photo.

Dressed up? He looks like a clown!

Of course, this could indicate a specific time period. Say, the 70s.
EDIT: Fuck, Woody beat me to it.

Hey come on man! He's got a tremendous sweater on! I should have said "more dressed up than he's been on the island". Another thing I just noticed was a "darker skinned" person behind him. As far as I remember, there were no non-white Others.

too bad that monitor behind him isn't plugged in.
What are the odds that comes up as a key plot point in the episode where they explain the picture? I would not be surprised.
