leaves of grass - edward norton playing identical twins & pot growing. Big yes to this movie.

centurian - great blood n guts battle shots and the lead actor is HOT

felon - great val kilmer movie and half sack plays a great snitch. I miss half sack SOA

holy rollers - felt like this movie could have been SO much better. I have a huge crush on Justin Bartha.

dirty - cuba is such an underrated actor now. this movie ruled.

Saw two great movies last night.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo ~ Been putting this one off because of its length (2.5 hours) but in the end I thought it was incredible. Great characters. Highly recommended. I'll be watching the sequel soon and hoping that part three makes it to streaming shortly. A warning: it's Dutch, so you have to read.

The Vanishing (1988) ~ Another one I've been putting off because I didn't recall liking the US remake. There's a reason for that. Hollywood sucks at remakes. The stories aren't even the fucking same. This version is sooo good. A warning: it's Dutch AND French, so you still have to read.

I started the girl w/ the dragon tattoo and it seemed really good - but I need bigger print on the subtitles to finish it or finally get my new glasses.

I got such a headache trying to read the subtitles - sitting the floor closer to the tv. Just couldn't do it.

Wanted to watch The Girl Who Played With Fire last night, but I was at work till 10:30. Movie was too long.

Instead I watched Operation: Endgame. Pretty unique movie. Stars a lot of comedians, feels like a comedy, then BAM. VIOLENT STUFF. The story was pretty clever in my opinion as well. Dark, morbid awesomeness. A friend asked me if it was like Smokin' Aces, and after thinking about it, I would say that fans of one would like the other.

watched Operation: Endgame - I liked it. First, I really like joe anderson - I kept waiting for the taxes to blow up though. hahaha that would have been awesome. Rob Corddry is effing hilarious.

Shrink - way better than I though it would be. Good acting.

scott pilgrim vs. the world - OMGosh so cute. I loved it. the vegan bit made my sides hurt from too much laughter

girl27 - really good and infuriating that women were treated like that and the crimes so swept under the rug. AND still no justice for any of them.

ladies and gentlemen the fabulous stains - so good. I loved it. I can't believe I had never seen it before. Diane Lane so young and cute. Even cuter than she was in Streets of Fire.

a rewatched: Heat, Hamburger Hill, Police Academy, and Peggy Sue Got Married.

Top of my queue. Loved the comic.

Jacki namedropped that one a while ago and got me to check it out. Definitely a good time.

a rewatched: Police Academy

The Girl Who Played with Fire ~ Good stuff, but very clearly a part 2 of 3 situation. Delved into Lisbeth's story quite a bit more than the first, but the mystery elements were a little lighter. The ending was to be expected. I think I'ma see The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest in Scottsdale early next week while it's still in theaters.

Cronos ~ First movie (1993) from Guillermo del Toro (Pan's Labyrinth). Had some beautiful visual effects. Didn't know what kind of movie it was going to be until about 30 minutes in. Ron Perlman's character was surprisingly entertaining. It's kind of a mixed bag, but I'm glad I saw it.

Currently working through Season 5 of South Park as well.

the reckoning - paul bettany is one of my favorite actors so I had to watch this. Not bad, not his best though.

rewatched full metal jacket - that movie makes me so upset so I had to follow it up w/ Shrek the third and the bourne identity (which everytime I watch makes me want to watch run lola run)

lots of L&O criminal intent.

Psych - Season 2 (surprisingly good show)
Once (I really didn't want to like this movie...but it's just a good, simple movie. And maybe even borderline cute)
A Tale of Two Sisters
The Heirloom
Titus (quite possibly my all time favorite Shakesperean adaptation. And having rewatched it, I may actually go and see The Tempest, despite the fact that Russell Brand is in it)
