Joe Don Baker's lesser known and appreciated character, Thomas Jefferson Geronimo III (you heard me), is a Texas Lawman assigned to extradite some dude back to Italy. Said dude is connected, and his associates ensure the pair are re-routed to Malta where the Italian dude escapes. Joe Don spends the rest of the movie trying to chase him down and bring him to justice.
Also, it was produced by the same dude that did "Hobgoblins", so yeah - awesome. Oh, and not one, but *two* boat chase scenes ("'Midway' had fewer boats than this")
It's not Mitchell, but you shouldn't hold that against it.

Carrie
First time seeing it. OMG loved it. Sweeping crane camera scenes, awesome use of splitscreen, and Sissy Spacek is beautiful in it.
Brief Interviews With Hideous Men
Krasinski makes a decent adaptation, but he shouldn't have put himself in the movie. He didn't have the chops for his monologue.
Lo
One of the stranger indie films I've seen. The execution was rather hit and miss; however, it kept my attention, wondering what would be next, and by the end of the movie I thought, "not the best movie ever made, but damn if I'm not totally glad I just watched that"
Hills Have Eyes 2 (1985)
Stay the fuck away. It does have a dog flashback scene tho...
Nine Dead
Such a great premise, such a sloppy execution, such a terrible ending.
The Other Side
Incredibly low budget ($15k I think,) which made me very surprised to find that i was enjoying this action thriller in spite of its SyFy presentation level.
Big Fan
Great movie written & directed by the dude who wrote the Wrestler. Paints a bleak picture and then makes you realize how much the main character loves that picture.
Also. Why did I enjoy that Lady Gaga video?

I just finished season 5 of Weeds and now I have nothing to watch. Any suggestions on a TV show or mini-series I should start watching. Preferably something that's out on DVD so I can watch it from the start.

Gentleman Broncos - Whoever gave the greenlight to have this movie made should be shot. Not to mention it is responsible for me having "Winds of Change" stuck in my head since watching it.
