This used to be my station of choice.

Those Q fests were so fun. The early ones I went to were out at some baseball field in Chandler if I remember correctly.

Saw: Crowded House, Pere Ubu, The Wonder Stuff (first mosh pit!), Social Distortion, Meat Puppets, Mojo Nixon, Jesus Jones, Soul Asylum, Material Issue, Dramarama, and many more.

Note: I've heard Jonathan L's show a number of times and it's not a local show though he does play some from time to time. He plays some ok stuff, but the majority is not good IMHO

I got you beat on the x's front - my favorite station growing up (couldn't get anything on FM where i was, but when we drove to the "city" we could listen) was 95 T R I P L E - X. That's right, WXXX FM in Burlington, VT! I think it's still there, but it only plays c+c music factory now.

KQ was my favorite radio station. They played amazing music and had the best "big" shows. This one was really fun.
