First day of the library summer reading program, which always gets crazy, and I've been up since 7:30, trying to jumpstart my boy toy's car without setting it on fire like last time.

I also tracked down the elusive "UPS customer care center," to pick up a package, which was basically like trying to find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. No matter what street I tried to take to get there, that street ended up disappearing or turning in a different direction. Or butting into Grand Avenue, my ultimate nemisis/secret lover.

right now i'm thinking: i wish i could start a ska/punk band (suicide machines style) but nobody in orlando wants to play ska anymore unless you're in a christian band. christian kids will do anything if it has jesus involved in it. lol.

i am too antsy for this week. im leaving for mexico on wednesday night!! so excited!!

it's for a writer's conference. i went last year and met a super hot dude (see this thread for details: How do you seduce a mexican dude who speaks limited english?)and we've been talking over email for a year now. he's gonna be in hermosillo for the conference as well....

im excited.

got a second interview tomorrow at 9am for the job I really want, w/ the GM. I really want to make a good impression on him - he would be my new boss (I'm interviewing to be his exec admin). eek.

I moved this past weekend. Fuck. It was a lot of work and I don't even have that much shit. The moving was fine as I had another dude helping me lift but the cleaning was a total fucking load of suck. And aside from big things like beds, dressers and a washer and dryer, you don't really think you have a lot of stuff but it's all the little dumb crap you hold onto that clutters up rooms and storage areas.

I also hijacked some feral kittens that were hanging around my old place. Very cute and sort of wild. They were in our doorway and every time we walked by to load stuff, they would hiss and sometimes strike their little paws at us. I used my work gloves to pick them up. One is completely grey and other is completely black both with blue eyes. We named them Shadow and Doom. I'll eventually get them spayed or neutered. I can't really tell what their sex is as I'm not a cat person.

In moving I came upon boxes and boxes of photographs that I've just kind of forgotten about. Some fucking old, rad shit (mainly house shows and shows in general). I've been wasting away the last two days at work scanning stuff in. I need to get a show happening, somewhere...somehow.

that was me too. cleaning a house rented for 7 years. lots of shit (and mess) accumulated. it was a bastard 4 days worth of work to move and clean everything. including 2 refrigerators, a washer, dryer, and a treadmill. shit sucked. a lot. but it's done. it's finally done.
