All the time when I tell people what I do they say, "Oh I don't understand art, I can't even draw." (or worse, "I only like art I can understand.") Well, ya know what, I don't know how to make a car, but I sure appreciate being able to drive one.

I'm one of those asshole who constantly brags about not having a TV, so I can't have any kind of conversation about TV shows post-90's. Lost? American Idol? The Office? Televised sports? No idea.

I also don't pick up on new bands that I hear a lot of buzz about unless I happen to see them live or they sound REALLY awesome. Brazilian Girls? The Decemberists? Of Montreal? I'll listen to them in 20 years if anyone still cares.

I saw that somebody posted a Goonies link and it made me think of this. I have never seen the movie all the way through and am still not 100% sure what it's about as I've just seen bits and pieces.

it's about how this is my dream--my wish, and i'm taking it back. i'm taking them all back.

never saw snake on a plane, even though i think i was hyping it to the max when it came out,

that is till yesterday. it's like the worst movie best movie ever. if that makes sense?

A buch of TSers went to the midnight release show, the theater was deserted.
None of us could believe it.
We knew one of the bands who won that (rigged) theme song competition, so we wanted to hear that, as well as see the worst/best movie of the year.
It was actually really fun, I honestly think it was a great summer "popcorn" movie.
Got it on DVD from eraser, some day I need to listen w/ the commentary on.

Funny enough, the band we know, Captain Ahab, wound up not even being on the CD soundtrack, even though their song played in the end credits.

What is going to be this summer's great/junk movie?

yea, i really though some parts were awesome and some parts i was like oh man thats so bad its good.
