My mother threatened to join Facebook. I don't want my mother seeing my status updates, but you can't really deny a friend request from your own mother. It's bad enough that my deadbeat biological father is on there watching my every move. -_- I want to social network but this is getting out of hand.

I reverted to my screen name (from my real name) for just this reason. My mom was smart and courteous enough to not ask me to friend, however she is friends with my friends?

Facebook crosses so many lines I don't want crossed. I want to be where my friends are, but not necessarily where my mom, grandma, cousins, co-workers, etc. are all hangin' out online.

...I don't mind my cousins and some of my family, but my mother is asking a bit much. D-: And I've considered using a different name but I haven't been inconvenienced by the inconveniences of Facebook just yet.

I added my mom on FB. She doesn't really write to me that much so it's not a big deal. Every once in a while I'll catch myself deleting 'motherfucker' from my status updates because I know she gets them. Otherwise, she's pretty chill with me.

My mother's a holy roller who I doubt would support my less than church appropriate rants. D-: So no. I must keep her away from Facebook at all costs.
