yeah i've heard some women have horrible responses to the IUD (Alexx Wrekk's Brainscan #22 zine is a great read that talks about what she went through with her IUD)

but one of my friends got one last year and loves it so far. so i guess it just depends on the person.

This is totally off topic.

Yesterday I went to the woman Dr. just to make sure everything was in tip top shape and my older yet handsome Dr. said to me "I'm sure most of my patients wish their vaginas looked as good as yours" pat me on the knee, even though my draws had not yet been put back on (I was still covered up of course)bid me farewell and left the room.

I'm now left with a feeling of inappropriate flattery

P.S. My friend got the IUD and swears by it. I'm currently looking into it myself now.

this is slightly unrelated to your post but i have never had a male gyno dr. for many reasons, one being that i would like to avoid the kind of situation you mentioned above.

Also i feel strongly that any man who's sticking things in (and complimenting ) my lovely hoohah better be getting me off

actually back in the day (before all this crazy feminist shit!) women used to go to doctors to treat their "hysteria". The doctors would use vibrators (ahem, "personal massagers") and get them off.

It really is a confusing situation. He’s never made me feel uncomfortable and even though that was weird it still didn’t make me uncomfortable while I was there. He’ extremely informative and not only is he a Gyno he’s a urologist so I can see where he might say something like that because he does tend to see a lot of vaginas that have gone wrong. Like seriously, bladders falling out of vaginas and so on and so forth but still… I felt dirty in a good way and bad way after that. I mean handsome Dr. and all. Would it be really wrong if I liked used that for material one day?

Oh definitely not. If I were really creeped out I wouldn't talk about it in jest. I do happen to feel a certain amount of attraction to him so his comment although extremely open for interpretation will most likely just be filed away in my spank bank

I go to a male gyno because the first time I went it was kind of an emergency and the female one my mom recommended at the same office was all booked up. This guy is really awesome. You totally can't tell by looking at him, but he is a former punk rocker. Last time I was in we talked about the Dead Kennedys (whose show he went to in New Orleans turned into a riot) AND the Dead Milkmen (don't remember how they came up).
