My neighbor has chickens and a rooster. The rooster is waking me up on a regular basis. If one wants eggs to eat, there is no need for a rooster. Is this correct? A rooster is needed only if you want more chickens. Correct?
I think someone has chicken's on here, so that is why I am asking here.

I had chickens as a kid, and although we did have a rooster, we didn't need him in order for the chickens to make eggs.

dude, my neighbor has a rooster too. wtf? i didn't even notice it until the weather got nice enough to sleep with the windows open, now i'm awake every morning at 4:30 to that shit. the other day he brought us eggs as some sort of "sorry for the rooster" bid. i'm willing to overlook it since he so kindly overlooks band practice 3x per week for the last 5 years.

city of Phx? Roosters are illegal. You can have up to 13 hens but no rooster. You can fully call the cops on them. Go talk to them and tell them to get rid of the rooster or you will need to call the cops. They do not need a rooster to get eggs. Roosters are just for procreation. And for making a shit ton of noise.
