there's a rooster halfway down the block from our house. it doesn't make enough noise to wake us up so i have no problem with it. if i lived closer, however.. we'd have words.

also... after 7 years of repairing my gas powered lawn mover every few months, i finally gave in and bought an electrical one. unfortunately, srp canceled its reimbursement plan or i could have saved $100. anyway, the thing is pretty badass. put it through the ringer last night since the grass in the backyard had gotten knee-high. after the front, side, and half of that tall-assed grass it pooped out so i charged it again last night and will knock out the rest tonight. shouldnt have to do that again. i'm pretty excited to have a decent backyard again for our dog and new puppy to run around in. gotta get some junk hauled away and then we can start planning out how the layout is gonna look.

So, you got the cordless battery powered one, eh? How much was it, where did you get it? Would you recommend it? Hook a brutha up with some knowledge. I need to get rid of my crappy gas powered one, too. It's suckin balls, lately.

we went with this guy: http://www.homelite...._mowers/UT13122

we dropped $300 on it at the home depot. the brand had some pretty good reviews and we went over about 6 different mowers with the guy at home depot. he seemed to know his stuff. basically, it's got fairly decent power, doesn't take too long to charge (after the initial 15hr charge), and can take a lickin'. i say that because after what i put it through monday and then last night, i'd expect it to have absolutely no problems with a "normal" lawn. with my old mower broken, us continually being out of town, irrigation, and monsoon storms, the backyard grass was above the knee. it took awhile to knock it all down but it's got a really easy one-handle height adjustment on it that goes nearly to the ground and then a couple inches high. i hit the tall stuff at the highest setting to make it easier then i plan on leveling it this week. i wanted to get it down before the rain came last night. i finished just in time.

it's hard to say i'd recommend it after only having it a few days and using it twice. so far i think it rocks. but i could go to use it next weekend and it could crap out. who knows. it's got a 2yr warranty though so that's pretty cool.
