So I my bike got stolen last month and I haven't been able to afford a new one yet. If anyone in Tempe could loan me a bike for Tour de Fat on Saturday I will be your bff. I don't care about the style, I care that it has 2 wheels and will last me through the day. I will be eternally grateful and return it in the condition it was given to me.

I'm not in Tempe, but I've got a bike you could borrow. Tires might need some pumping up.

we're likely borrowing those friends' electric bikes to ride for this thing (we're getting them tonight to mess around with first so we know we're not going to kill ourselves or anyone else) so we've got our other bikes available if you end up still needing one. the gf's bike even has a basket. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Roughly how tall are you? I've got a retired ladies/girls 20-year old Schwinn mountain bike that I'd give you. It's pink. But it's on the small side, might be good for someone a couple inches either side of 5'3"? 24" wheels. It's at my house downtown, just haven't been organized enough to run the thing up to goodwill...

Haven't tried to put air in the tires since the spring, but it was a pretty smooth ride. NOT a stylish ride. But would get the job done.

yeah, too tall :-) - I don't think my spare bike will work for you, unless you like the adult on a kid's BMX approach to cycling.

katie - I have a bike (it's pink w/ a whote basket) you could use and I live two streets west of Mill ave.

I would be going myself but I have a bday thing to go to at that pumpkin farm in Queen Creek on Saturday, so you are more than welcome to use mine. Even my bike lock is pink.
